When Koh Samui hasn’t yet had shops and cafes that would independently make and sell cottage cheese, foreign residents could pamper themselves with this:

Without excess sugar just the right size and consistency.

But the sour cream of the same brand was not that good. I declare that responsibly.
The taste is more or less ok, but some how it does not dissolve competely.

Branded sour cream from MAKRO (ARO brand) - generally is a creepy horror.

Though it is written on the label -sour cream, but the product is non-dairy (there is no milk). Therefore, it has a taste of flour, which is not surprising when you have a closer look at the label.

The best, in my opinion, sour cream of all that you can find in the supermarkets in Koh Samui

Usually it is sold in Big-C. 145 g, ~ 32 baht.
And in 2012 it appeared in Macro - big glasses at 94 baht.
Back in the Big C and Macro you can buy a good unsweetened yogurt Yolida.

Over time, right next to the Macro appeared a Dairy Store (with cow coloring), which sells "home made"  more precisely, “Samui made” dairy and sour-milk products. But the prices are rather high.

In the Tesco food court (Chaweng) there is a tray from the Russian restaurant "Troika". There you can find sour cream, cottage cheese and yogurt.

he very "Troika" is located next to the dairy store near Macro.

Actually, now almost in every Russian café and restaurant you can find cottage cheese and yogurt.
Try it and choose which you like best.

Another home-made sour cream can be found in Nathon, the store called SANPHET GROCERY. There's also a fairly large selection of cheeses, tea (mostly packaged), alcohol and in general – food for “farangs".

Also, there are cheeses in all the Samui supermarkets and in Macro. In the latter there are inexpensive options under the brand ARO. Their drawback is that they are only sold by briquettes of 2 kg.
Large selection of cheeses at the Italian shop on Maenam:

Also, a lot of cheese can be found at the "Colibri" store at Chaweng:

And there are several kinds in the European food store near Tesco, Chaweng

Well, for the sake of completeness I will tell about the sweet, including "long-playing" yogurts of the factory production.
This is a sweet yogurt with short shelf live:

Production is in Maenam, the building just off the ring road.
If you drive from the center of Maenam in the direction of the turn to the Lomprayah ferries, it is located 100 meters before turning to the right side. There will be a sign "Home made yogurt". Around here: 09.57726 099.98246
There's also where they sell those yogurt.
A large portion almost one kilo - 100 baht. 30 baht is taken as a deposit for the container.
In a typical retail sale I have seen those only in the shop which sells jam.
Natural yoghurt you can make by yourself. You will need milk and rice cooker.
Sold in stores factory yogurts are usually very sweet. Even those that have 0% fat and no fruit.
There are enough options:

But for now we are completely satisfied with Meji with coconut (with coconut pieces)

or with aloe:

Or this one, with strawberries:

it contains whole berries, several pieces in one jar.
From the same manufacturer there are following yogurts with and beans:

But we have not yet dared to try them.
This one is pretty good:

And finally let me show you a product that is recommended to drink to restore microflora, for example, after taking antibiotics:
