Korean food on Koh Samui

Where to find Korean food on Samui? Korean restaurants - where to find them on Koh Samui? - These questions we are being asked on our Samuidays Twitter page. Apparently this is due to the fact that an increasing number of our compatriots come to stay on Samui for a long time, and they start to miss the familiar Korean food.

That's why we put together in one place all the known coordinates of the Korean restaurants on Koh Samui, as well as just those places where they serve Korean dishes among Thai cuisine.

Almost all of them are located at Choeng Mon

  •      9.562307,100.080384 - Arirang (photo by Pavel)
  •      9.571636,100.079674 - 300 baht per dish, a dozen of appetizers, greens and rice – free of charge.
  •      9.569076,100.077871 - their sign is easy to spot from the road.

While we do not have precise coordinates of this place, but since this place is highly recommended by many people, saying that it way better than all the Bangkok's networks such as Shabushi (buffets, where the meal is only limited by time and capacity of your stomach), then at we can give a short description of how to get there: move from the Big Buddha, drive through Plai Laem, and on the right side there will be a sign.
This place is called Blue Garden, and is either here 9.561639,100.080315 or here - 9.568822,100.07738 or here - 9.567294,100.075352. In general, we need the help of those who simply will pass by all these sites, and say where the truth is :)

One more Korean restaurant has opened at Lamai this summer of 2013. It is called Korean Mamy. It is run by a nice, middle-aged Korean woman with her daughter. Almost all of the dishes are at 200 baht, each dish has 7-9 cymbals with Korean pickles.
It is located almost opposite the IT-center, on the ring road, cant to miss it.

Which of the Korean cafes and restaurants are better or worse I don’t know. Try for yourself, share your impressions in a review, and do not hesitate to add to the list of Korean restaurants on Koh Samui those places that are not yet described here.
