This lovely and quiet place was created by a Thai farmer Nim Thongsuk. The turn to the road leading to the Magic Buddha Garden in the mountains of Samui, is located near the turn to the Namuang 1 waterfall. The whole area looks like a sculpture garden, it is located along a small mountain river flowing across the Magic Buddha Garden. Khun Nim (Thai word "Khun" means "a respectful person", and is used by analogy with the words "Sir", "Mister" and so on) wanted to build a place where people could enjoy peace and nature.

The construction of the Magic Buddha Garden on Koh Samui (or "Secret Buddha Garden", or "Tarnim Magic Garden") mister Thongsuk began in 1976, at age of 77, together with the assistant. The work continued until the death of the owner of this place at the age of 91. He is buried here, along with his wife, in a specially constructed crypt.

The mysterious charm of this place is given by the religious sculptures in combination with the images of the forest inhabitants. Note the sculpture of frog (rear view).

The garden is rather small and it can be seen that the sculptures were made a long time ago. There are not many tourists here - mostly those who took the safari tour. Therefore, there can be enough time to enjoy the serenity and tranquility.

Here, in the dense thickets of tropical vegetation are the houses that were originally built for traveling monks. They could live here as long as necessary, or stop to rest during the journey. Also here is an artificially created waterfall named after the creator. The waterfall is located right at the entrance and greets the visitors of the Magical Garden.

Entrance fee is 80 baht.

The money is used to maintain this famous Koh Samui attraction.
