Everyone who has ever been to Thailand knows that there are hindreds of local "7 eleven" stores in each populated area.

From time to time those shops are holding some special semi-charitable activities - almost every time after payment they would give you small shiny square stickers.

What is it for?
Those stickers are equivalent to conventional money. Usually they have numbers 1-2-3-5 labeled on them, with par value of 1 or 2 baht (2 baht are just larger), depending on the amount of the purchase and whether there are goods in the purchase that are involved in promotions (usually it is indicated on the price tag).

What to do with them?
There are a few options:
* You can stick them on a large poster that hangs right there on the trading floor or near the cash register. So you do a charitable contribution. Latter on, considering all the stickers on this poster, the store will give that amount to charity on behalf of all buyers.
* You can pay with these stickers for the following purchases by using them along with real money.
* You can paste it in a special booklet (you can have it right there - at the cash register), and then bring to the store to obtain a gift (depending on the accumulated amount of bonus points).

As soon as one promotion ends, which is usualy happening within a few months, another one begins, with new labels and new gifts.

It does not matter which of the shops gave you those stickers, and it also makes no difference where you can be given your prize – since it is a unified chain of stores, despite the fact that all the outlets  are just franchisee and have different owners.
